Well another transfer... and another change! I am staying here in Godoy and Elder Barrios is headed off to Bariloche. I am so grateful for the time that I got to be his companion. I learned so much and really learned that the Lord knows who and what we need in our life to help us grow into the people that he needs us to be. Now I am with Elder Elwood from Idaho. Another Gringo! haha gringos have their ups and downs. But i am way excited to work with elder Elwood and see what I can learn from him and what we can do together here in Godoy!
We had kind of a rough week. Juan and Antonia who came to church with us and were doing so good, their pastor came by their house and talked with them, and now they dont want to be baptized and are going back to their old church. That made me so sad. Because they were so close to opening the gate to a million blessings and because of a pastor they now cant recieve those blessings yet. We are going to try and see what we can do with them to help them see that this is the truth. On the bright side, we were teaching this lady this week and her daughter was there and didnt want to listen, but half way through the lesson she came and sat down and was really intereseted and so that was awesome! We are going to keep working our hardest to help her and our other investigators come to the waters of baptism!
Not much to write this week. But I know that this church is true. I know that it is only in the church of Jesus Christ that one day we will live with our families forever, and that makes me so happy! I am so happy to be a missionary in this day and see the Lord Hastening his work and seeing all the miracles that he does to help people recieve the gift of eternal life. I know that it is only through the grace and the atonement that we can be saved, and I am so grateful for the oportunity to preach his gospel. I love you all and hope you all have a great week and remember our Savior always!!!!!!
Love,
Elder Stuart

Walking down the street and decided to punch a light post... ;)
The familia Castro! They are the best and so sweet! She always makes such good food and makes us eat it all! haha
Missionaries
This was another great week! The family that we found and are teaching are amazing! It is a husband and wife about sixty years old, named Juan and Antonia. They are so amazing and so prepared by the Lord! It is amazing to see the Lord´s hand in the lifes of the people here. The first time we taught them and shared the story of Joseph Smith they were both crying at the end and told us that they have been asking their whole lives which church is true and they feel like they finally found their answer! And now everytime we go over they get tears in their eyes and tell us that when we talk about the Gospel that they can really feel something different, a different spirit and that they can tell that it is different. They also came to church this Sunday and loved it!! I know that they are going to get baptized really soon!
It is amazing to be a missionary and really see how this gospel and our Savior can change the lives of people. And i am so greatful for this oportunity to be an instrument in the hands of our Savior. The experiences and the spirit that is felt everyday by a missionary is amazing. Yes sometimes it is hard but I love something that Elder Holland said ¨why would we expect it to be easy for us when it was never easy for Him(Christ). Salvation was never easy. Salvation is not a cheap experience.¨It is so true! The mission is hard. But the joy and happiness and the spirit you can feel with those special moments is worth everything. We are lucky to be missionaries in this day and age and see how the Lord really is Hastening His work. I love the mission!
Things are great! I hope all is well with all of you back home. Remember our Savior. Never stop praying. And have a great week!!
Love,
Elder Stuart

Miracles
So this week was another amazing week! Also it felt like Christmas again because all of the christmas cards came this week! hahah it was funny, and it was awesome to recieve those from family and friends. Thank you all so much for taking the time to send me something in the mail, it means a lot. I will try to find time to write you all back!
This week was great! We didn´t have many investigators that we had solid to go and teach, and so we decided to do a lot of contacting this week. One day we were out contacting in the rain all day, we were soaked, it was getting late, we were tired, and we weren´t having succes. So we decided to say a pray and keep pressing forward. We knew that this was a trial of our faith and decided that we were going to work even harder because we knew that that was the only way to keep going. Still no success. It was the end of the day and we were walking back to the bus, when we walked past a house and decided to try one more. They ended up opening the door and we taught them real quick and ran for the bus. The next day they were waiting for us to come back, and we had a great lesson with them! It is the Saavedra family, and I feel like they are going to be great! It really is amazing how the Lord works. When we feel like we can´t do anymore, but press on, that is when the blessings come the most. I really felt my faith grow, and I know that when things get hard, if we just trust in the Lord we can see miracles.
I love this work and the many miracles that I get to see everyday. If we look we can find, and once we start to recognize they are there, we see even bigger miracles. I know my Savior lives and guides this church, because without Him I would not be able to do this work. But through His strength we can do all things so long as we keep the faith.
I love you all and I hope you all have a wonderful week!

Elder Stuart

New Years.... BAPTISM!!!
This week was so good!!! I can´t believe that it is 2016! I am so excited for this year, because it will be a whole year dedicated to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I hope you all have an amazing new year! Remember our Savior and it will be an amazing year!
This week we were able to see many miracles! First off... SAMANTHA GOT BAPTIZED!!!! It was so amazing to be able to be apart of this process and see the change that this gospel brought to her life, We were able to see the joy that she got from our Savior and His gospel. The spirit was so strong at the baptism and I couldn´t stop smiling because another one of the daughters of God has opened the door to recieve all the blessings that He has prepared for her! Also her mom and sister were able to come to the Baptism! Before they didn´t want anything to do with the church and didn´t really support samantha. Now they are fully supporting her, and they were both in tears after the baptism and want to start taking the lessons. It is amazing what the Lord is doing here in Argentina. He really is hastening His work and it is amazing to be apart of it and see so many miracles.
We also saw another miracle (it was last week but oh well hahah) we were walking down the road contacting and walked past a man that was smoking and just walked past because he was smoking and didn´t want anything to do with the church right? WRONG! we both got the impression to turn around and talk to him, we did and when we walked up he just said thank you and threw his cigarrete on the ground and told us that this was the time he needs to start making a change. We have been teaching him, and he hasnt smoked since and has a date to be baptized later down the road. His name is Vallejo and he is amazing! It really showed me that every single one of God´s children is special and deserves to hear this gospel, it doesn´t matter what they were like, they can always change!
So many Miracles :) I love this work. Thank you all for all your support, I love you all. Have a great week!!
Elder Stuart
