A Great Time in Roca!

Buen Dia Familia!!!

This week was super great! i had the chance this week to go to Roca for a few days to be able to work with some of the Elders that are there and it was great! i had a lot of great experiences this week, one of the greatest experiences that i had this week was with an investigator named Aimara. She is super prepared! she has been reading a lot of the book of mormon and i swear she knows more than i do. but she said that she hasnt felt yet that she needs to be baptized, she knew it was the right thing to do but said that she just didnt feel it. we were able to have a very spiritual lesson with her where we bore our testimonies and taught her the doctrine that she needed to know. at the end she couldnt stop saying thankyou because she said that she felt the same way that she did when the missionaries first taught her! (that was Elder Lloyd!! ) and she said she would prya to know when she needs to be baptized! i then got a call last night from the Elders and she is going to get baptized this friday! it was a great time there in Roca! i am back here in Nequeun so we will see what happens this week! Have a great week! Love you all!

Progress!

Good Morning Everyone!

This week was super great! we were able to find a former investigator that we used to teach named Jorge and start to teach him again! It went super well, he seemed super interested now and was able to come to church this week so that was super cool! he has a big religious background so that made it easier to bring him to church but he is stuck in his idea that the priesthood never left the earth, so we have to keep working with him and help him gain a testimony of the restoration!! Also this week Pablo finally recieved the Preisthood so that was great! he was so excited and is super excited to be able to help with the sacrament the next week! Things are going well! Love you all! have a great week!

Special Experiences!

Buen dia familia!

This week was great!! we headed down to the south to help a matrimony (senior couple) move from Junin to Villa la Angostura! so that was fun, and while we were down there we took advantage of doing exchanges with the elders that are there in Junin and we had an amazing experience!! We went to go visit one of their investigators, Veronica, who is the wife of a less active member. She had assited the church the past few weeks and was thinking about getting  baptized but she still wasnt sure so we went in and we had a wonderful lesson with her! in the middle of the lesson we decided to have her pray right there to ask God if she needed to be baptized this saturday, she said she was scared to do it, so we had her husband pray first and right after she said she would do it. In the middle of her prayer she just went silent and you could hear her crying a little, she finished her prayer and said that she had never felt something like that, she explained that it was like someone there hugging her. We explained that that was the spirit, and she recieved her answer and was eventually baptized this past saturday by her husband Sergio who is reactivating :) It was such a special experience that we are so lucky that we were a part of! Things are going great! I love you all, have a great week!

Paying Attention Pays Off!

Hello Family!

This week was great! we did exchanges in Cinco Saltos and i got to go with Elder Bliss!!! It was so much fun to be able to be with him again and work with him. We had a great day, We went to this investigator they had, Blas, and we had a really good lesson with him, but the coolest part was that his brother maxamiliano was there in the room too and we invited him to listen and he accepted and he loved it! We were able to put baptismal dates with both of them, so that was awesome! And then, it happened again! We went to teach one of their investigators that already had a date, Raul, and he wasnt there but his brother Ezequiel answered the door and we were able to teach him and he too accepted a date! It is amazing that when we really pay attention to those around us as we teach and we always try and find new people to teach through our investigators the Lord will always bless us. It was a great week! Love you all!

General Conference & Investigators

Hola Familia!!

whats up?! THis week was amazing!! Our investigators are progressing very well. Pablo and Claudia are doing super well, we went with them this week and we took out a date for them to get married the 5th and they will be getting baptized the 8th :) Im super stoked for them!! Please pray for them so that they can complete with this covenant they are about to make! Hermano Rigoberto Castillo is doing really well as well, we went saturday morning and we watched the first session of conference with him in his house! he loved it!! but he says that he still isnt prpared to be baptized, so we will keep trying to help him and see what it is that he needs to make it!

Conference was absolutely amazing! I hope you all were able to take something out of it to apply in our lives and recieve answers to our prayers and the questions of our hearts. For me the best part was to hear the many testimonies of the Godhead. It was amazing how many testified of God our Eternal Father, His Son Jesus Christ, our Savior and Mediator with the Father and the Holy Ghost, the testater of the two and the comforter for us in this life. I know and have learned that the more we learn about them and their natures we will have more desires to follow them :) What a great conference with such great messages!

Well this week was great! i hope you all have a great week!!

Prepare for General Conference!

Whats up family!?

This week was great! The investigator that i talked about that the members wanted us to go to their house to teach him, Rigoberto, came to church this week!! He is doing super well and is reading the book of mormon and praying a lot. the family that lives next to him really is helping us a lot and doing a good work with keeping him reading and praying! It is awesome because we passed by to go visit him one day and when we got to the door we could hear music coming from inside, and he was listening to hymns!! He is doing great and progressing well, and he is super excited for the conference this week! I hope you all are getting ready to hear the words of the Lords living prophets and apostles. I hope we can all prepare ourselves and have questions ready to be answered. This week is going to be great! Thank you all for everything! Love you all!

Promises of the Lord

Hola familia! This week was great! we have been working really hard on trusting on the promises of the Lord and having faith in that! i love John 4:35. :) im not gonna say what it is so you can look it up and read the scriptures today everyone ;) but it is a promise that is so true, we just need to look like the Lord does, keep working and he will give us the success that we need, not always what we want, but just what we need. We found a new/old investigator this week. His name is Martin and he had talked with the missionaries before and had gone to church a couple of times, and we found him in the house of a recient convert and started to teach him! Pray for him that he can have the desires to take the step of baptism soon!! The Lord really is blessing us here. :)

Love you all :)

Elder Teixeira & Miracles

Hola Familia!!!

This week was amazing. This truly is thework of the Lord. this week we went down to Bariloche to prepare for Elder Teixeira (our area President) who came Friday to have a conference with us. While we were there we went to work with the missionaries with the investigators that they had that had gone to church and were progressing but just werent getting to baptism. They had one person that was going to get baptized that weekend. But then the Miracles happened. We taught this family and a very long story short they called the missionaries the next day and wanted to get baptized, it was amazing to see how the work of those missionaries helped this family out so much and we were able to give them the last push they needed and now they are baptized members of the church of Jesus Christ :) It was amazing. at the end of the week Bariloche had 5 baptisms. It was such a Miracle. The Lords hand really was here with us. Then we had wamazing conference with the Elder Teixeira and all the Zone Leaders and Hermana Leaders. It was an amazing conference and i learned so much. I am so proud to be a missionary at this time of this great work! Things are advancing and we are seeing a lot of miracles in the mission, seeing things happen that have never been done. The Lord is blessing us. This is His work and His glory. i know that without a doubt :) Love you all! thanks for all your support! have a great week!!

Sup Fam!

Sup Fam!

This week was great! We saw the hand of the Lord in our life a lot this week.

First off it was super sad because Elder LeBaron went home this week. Im gonna miss that guy. We had a great time working together and this week we saw the fruits of that work! My new comp is Elder Ortiz! He is super dope and im super excited to see what is going to happen. This week we had 7 investigators come to church, which is a miracle here! We had the Melo family, the Infante family, and then a girl named Carina. It was amazing to see that the Lord blessed us in such a great way after the trial of our faith. 1 Nefi 2:15!! most of you are probably wondering why that scripture. But just look it up and figure out why its a trial of our faith :) I know that as we leave everything behind and we do all we can to serve the Lord he will bless us continually and lead us to the promised land and the blessings that he has prepared for us! I know that this is the work of the Lord and that He lives today and is guiding His one and only true church.  Please pray for our investiagtors so that they can get baptized soon and for our mission to keep progressing! Love you all!

-Elder Stuart

(oh yeah, and the changes in missionary work! it isnt too diferent from what we were doing here before, the biggest change really is that we do daily planning in the morning in stead of the night, and we only have four key indicators instead of 9! pretty interesting! If you have questions just ask. the training was amazing!)

When I asked about what the Key Indicators were, this was Elder Stuart's response:
We used to keep track of lessons taught, lessons with member, referecnces and all that. but now it is just Baptisms, people at church, baptismal dates, and new investigatores. It all has the final goal of baptizing. it is awesome! (does that make sense?) and we still get up at 6:30, get back home at 9, and to bed at 10:30.

Success from Working with Members!

hola familia!

This week was super good! The Melo Family is doing great! They are working on the papers right now to be able to get married, and then on their way to baptism. They are doing great! Also we are working with a mom of a recient convert! Her name is Roxana, and she came to church yesterday with us! She is doing great, her in laws are members as well so they have been coming with us to teach her and she is going great. She said she would like to learn more and eventually get baptized so that she can help her family stay strong, because only her son is a member for now. So we are seeing the success from working with the members, thats for sure! The Lord is blessing us a lot. I love this work. Things are going great!

Also Elder LeBaron is going home tomorrow! so thats weird! But it was a great few months with him. I still dont know who my comp is... so i hope we find out soon!

Love you all!

Melo Family

Hola Familia!!!!!!!!!!

This week was an amazing week! One of the great experiences that we had this week was with the Melo Family. This week we had a super great lesson with them about the plan of salvation and how familys can live together for eternity if they are obedient to the laws and ordinances of the gospel. It was amazing to see how this knowledge they recieved lighted their faces and you could see a difference in the way they were. They were filled with a greater portion of the light of Christ and it was amazing to see how when people have an open heart and are willing to listen, that they begin to understand what this gospel will do for them personally. They committed to come to church adn they were really excited to come! But then here comes the trial of the faith... we were at church waiting for them to show up and the meeting started and they still werent there. We said a little prayer and went in to the meeting... and the Family Melo came walking in!!!!!! :) it was such a miracle and amazing to see how much they liked the church. We are so excited for this family and we hope to see more of the progression in the gospel through baptism soon! Please please please pray for them! Love you all!

Thanks for all the support you all give me :)

Open House Miracles

Hola Famila!!

This week was super good! We are finidng a lot of people to teach in these past few weeks! This week we had an open house in the church in our ward and it went really well! We didnt have too many people show up, but the people that did come were really a miracle. First off we had a man named Walter, he is working here for a few months to be able to provide for his family that lives in Buenos Aires. He said he is looking for something better and felt like this is what he has been missing in his life and what he needs to be able to provide for his family. We put a baptismal date for him and we are super excited to teach him!!! Then some recent converts brought one of their friends, Carmen, and she told us she had a lot of questions, we explained to her the restoration. and she said it made a lot of sense to her, we were also able to put a fecha with her and we are super excited aout that! The Lord really is blessing us a lot in our work here. It is amazing to see His hand in our lives every day and know that this is His work,, and he is here to bless us and help us if we trust in him. It has been a great week! I love you all!!

A Super Busy But Great Week!!

Buen Día Familia!

This week was another super good week! We are getting closer and closer with that lady named Vicky!!! Yesterday we went to their house and we were talking with her sons maxi and lucas when she walked in and told us she didnt feel very well so we offered to give her a blessing. It was one of the most spiritual blessings i have ever been a part of. I know that her heart is opening up a little bit at a time! After the blessing we just looked at her and said, bueno when you want to get baptized just let us know and we will set it all up! haha we were super direct with her because she is already prepared and she has been for a long time. And whenever we talked about baptism before she always just said that she was never getting baptized, but this time she said that she would let us know!! Im super stoked for her!

Its been a super busy but great week!! I love this work! Have a great week everyone! :)

Light the World

Buen día familia!

This week went super well! we are super excited with this focus that we have here in the mission with the Christmas season of Light the World! This week we had a lot of time to be in our own area and get to work. We found many people that we were able to teach. we were also able to do a lot of service, big or small, for the people in our area and we feel super good about what is happening right now! We had a super cool experience with that same family that brought their grandkid and friends to church, we were able to go visit them and we met a lady named Vicky who is the daughter of the Grandma. She has heard the missionaries for a long time, and we left her when i got here. But she came in and sat down and started asking a lot of questions, especially about her dad who had passed away. We were able to testify to her about the plan of salvation and how she could be with him forever and return to him if she follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is amazing to see how the plan that God has given to us can bring light to whatever situation we are going through. We are still working with her, but she said that she will start listening again. The Lord is blessing us every day :) I love this work.

love you all and hope you have a great week!

25 Days of Service

Whats up fam!

This week was super cool!!! We have a new plan for this Christmas season, we took the calendar that the church made about the 25 days of service and changed it up to be more for us as missionaries! so we are super excited for that and we know great things are coming to our mission in this next month! We had a great lidership counsil and all the liders are excited to get their zones going in this new plan! So we are excited to see what happens!

Thanksgiving was this past week! Happy thanksgiving!

It was so cool because last week a member came to church and she brought her grandson and his friend (who arent members) and we were able to put a cita with them and go and teach them! Then we went to go talk with the mom of the friend to make sure it was ok that we were teaching her son and she was super interested so we were able to teach her as well, and now the three are progressing really well!! Its amazing how the act of one member can help missionaries so much! SO go help the missionaries this week!!

Love you all! Have a great week!!
