Promises of the Lord

Hola familia! This week was great! we have been working really hard on trusting on the promises of the Lord and having faith in that! i love John 4:35. :) im not gonna say what it is so you can look it up and read the scriptures today everyone ;) but it is a promise that is so true, we just need to look like the Lord does, keep working and he will give us the success that we need, not always what we want, but just what we need. We found a new/old investigator this week. His name is Martin and he had talked with the missionaries before and had gone to church a couple of times, and we found him in the house of a recient convert and started to teach him! Pray for him that he can have the desires to take the step of baptism soon!! The Lord really is blessing us here. :)

Love you all :)

Sup Fam!

Sup Fam!

This week was great! We saw the hand of the Lord in our life a lot this week.

First off it was super sad because Elder LeBaron went home this week. Im gonna miss that guy. We had a great time working together and this week we saw the fruits of that work! My new comp is Elder Ortiz! He is super dope and im super excited to see what is going to happen. This week we had 7 investigators come to church, which is a miracle here! We had the Melo family, the Infante family, and then a girl named Carina. It was amazing to see that the Lord blessed us in such a great way after the trial of our faith. 1 Nefi 2:15!! most of you are probably wondering why that scripture. But just look it up and figure out why its a trial of our faith :) I know that as we leave everything behind and we do all we can to serve the Lord he will bless us continually and lead us to the promised land and the blessings that he has prepared for us! I know that this is the work of the Lord and that He lives today and is guiding His one and only true church.  Please pray for our investiagtors so that they can get baptized soon and for our mission to keep progressing! Love you all!

(oh yeah, and the changes in missionary work! it isnt too diferent from what we were doing here before, the biggest change really is that we do daily planning in the morning in stead of the night, and we only have four key indicators instead of 9! pretty interesting! If you have questions just ask. the training was amazing!)

When I asked about what the Key Indicators were, this was Elder Stuart's response:
We used to keep track of lessons taught, lessons with member, referecnces and all that. but now it is just Baptisms, people at church, baptismal dates, and new investigatores. It all has the final goal of baptizing. it is awesome! (does that make sense?) and we still get up at 6:30, get back home at 9, and to bed at 10:30.

Intercambios con Elder Bliss

This week was great! hahah as always! We had a really cool experience the other day! I was on intercambios with the zone leaders of villa regina, and i was with ELder Bliss!! We were here working in our area and we were trying to find a reference that we had gotten, we went to what we thought was the house and we knocked and an older lady came out. She wasnt the reference that we were looking for, but she said that her mother was a member and when she was younger she went to church a few times! she was really excited and said that after the lesson she felt something really special again, just like she did when her mom was with her. It was such a cool experience and something that i have really been learning in these weeks, is that if we are really desirous to find people to teach we will be lead to those that are ready to receive the blessings of the Lord!

Thank you all for the support! i love you all! have a great week!

Rely on the Spirit

[Ryan is hoping to send pictures later when they can get to the chapel. He says it is safer there, that maybe he won't get another virus!]

This week went really well! This week i learned a lot about relying on the spirit and how important it is for us. We had a lot of experiences with that this week, but the one that i liked the most happened last night. We were walking to the house of a family and we got a thought to go and visit another family instead. we didnt know why but we followed the spirit. We got there and the hermana answered the door and was so relieved to see us, she said that her husband and been really sick all day and was in a lot of pain and she didnt know what to do, so she said a prayer and we showed up. We were able to give him a blessing and he started to feel a lot better. It was such a good experience and taught me the importance of following the spirit :) Some times we need to remove the distractions in our lives to be able to hear the still small voice, i hope we all can try and apply that so that we can be in the right place at the right time when others are in need. Sorry this is short, i love you all! have a great week!

Godoy

Hola famila y amigos!!!

Everything is great here in Argentina! I love it down here, I hope that you all are doing well. This week we had a really cool experience. Me and Elder Rose were out contacting, and we weren´t really finding anyone that was interested, so we said a little prayer, and then after we looked down the street and there was absolutely no one in sight. So we decided the next person we saw we were going to set a baptism date. hahaha the next second a couple turned the corner, and we were like... really a couple, this is going to be fun! haha so we went up and started talking to them. They are so amazing!!!! They are 19 and 18, and she had been taking the lessons a couple months ago (her name is Guadalupe) and he came to church a couple times a few years ago (Brian). And they both said that this is what they have been looking for and they have been praying for! We set a baptism date with them, and they are preparing to be baptized in the next couple of weeks! He just has to work on somethings with work so he doesn´t have to work on sundays, and then they are going to be baptized! It was so amazing! The Lord really blesses us when at the last moment when we are about to give up, if we push forward with faith, He will bless us. Never give up. Right as we think we are beat and cant push anymore, that is when we will start seeing blessings, if we push through it. It was such an amazing experience!

I am learning so much here in Argentina and i love it down here. Things are going good and we are working with a lot of great investigators. Just dificult for them to come to church because it is so far away, but we are slowly progressing, and trying to do all we can to help them. We have this one investigator, Samantha, she is so amazing. We have been meeting with her for about a month, she is already half way through the book of mormon, and loves this gospel so much. She wants to be baptized so bad, we just have problems getting her to church. So once we start getting them to come, this area is going to boom!! I love it here. The mission is an amazing place. Thank you for all your love and support. I love you all!!! Have a great week!!

Elder Stuart

Mom Note:  When I asked Ryan about his Thanksgiving Dinner a week before Thanksgiving, this was his reply:
