Crazy, Busy, Fun!

Hola Familia!

This week has been super crazy but super fun! The best part of the week was the conference that we had with Presidente! At the beginning of every transfer we have a conference with all the leaders, and this conference was really good! We talked about how we need to raise our expectations and trust in the Lord with all our heart and then act with love for everyone around us. It was such a spiritual meeting and i loved the focus we had in charity. Something that we learned that i loved is that at baptism we all take upon us the name of Christ, and so if we cant learn to love one other we really arent loving Christ. That is why we must have love for all men and learn to serve others because truly the way we act towards everyone is how we are showing that love and charity for Christ.

I love you all so much. Thank you all for your support and love in this time of my life :) You all are the best!

Love,
Elder Stuart

Mom's note:
Elder Stuart was made an AP (Assistant to the President) last week and is really excited for his new assignment! I asked him some questions about his responsibilities and his past week and these were his responses:

Sounds like a wonderful suday you had! Mine was good! i have about 80 people in my new ward, and the building looks the same as the one in Cipo, and the people are as good as ever! Also i dont know if you remember Guillermo that got baptized in Cipo, well he moved to Neuquen and now he is in my ward again, so thats cool!

I live in a pension close to the home, but we are here almost every day planning and thinking about ways to help the mission, and doing exchanges with missionaries and talking with President about stuff! :) Being AP I have to help plan all the counsils and conferences, do exchanges with missionaries, plan on ideas to teach the mission on how to move the work forward, and when I have time, work in my area :)

We are just staying in the pension of the office elders for now but this week we are headed to the south! and hopefully we will have a pensionn when i get back! We have a car to spilt between the office, but we only use it for certain things, usually we walk if it is close! We usually eat in the home, or on our own because we dont have lunch with members because we never know when we are going to be here.:)

There is no snow here in Neuquen, im staying warm its in the 50s i think? hahah 90s sounds great right now! I eat well :) a little too well... haha but ive lost weight in the last couple of months!!

Service

This week was great and full of service! This week we have been able to do a lot of service but the one that was really special was we went to a members house that lives out in the middle of nowhere, and they havent had fire wood to heat their house or cook for awhile now. We just now found out so The guys from the ward went out their with us and we were able to spend a couple of hours in a lot cutting down trees and making fire wood for them :) It was amazing to see how humble these people really are and the joy on their face when they recived just wood, rice, noodles, and flour. Just by simple things this family was so greatful and joyful, that it touched every one of our hearts. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we dont have when we really have everything and we forget that there are people out there with much greater needs. Service is the way to show are charity, and as we do it we can show are love to others, and more importantly to our Heavenly Father. Mosiah 2:17 :)

I love you all and hope that we can all look for a way to serve others this week :) and i promise you that you will have a better week!

Love,
Elder Stuart

Trio in Cipo

This week was great! Working in a trio is actually really fun! You always have something to talk about and more ideas! This week was really good because we had new missionaries here in Cipo and that means, new energy and it was amazing to see what the zone was able to do this week! Also we have two new missionaries and so we had their animo as well! It is amazing to see that it is all in our heads, if we are excited and believe that we can do it. we will do it. If we are down and dont put our trust in God and in our abilities we wont get anywhere. The mind is really powerful and as we put our focus centered in Christ we will be able to accomplish great things :)

Also something that i have really been learning in my time here in Cipo is the importance of Love and Charity. As we serve others and look for the best in them and for them, we will be able to help more people to come unto Christ. If we are simply trying to push and force people to do something it will never work. Just like Christ taught us, ¨come unto me.¨He invites us with open loving arms to come unto him and be perfected and as we try and do that with our brothers and sisters they will be more apt to come unto Christ and recieve the grace that comes from his atonement :)

I love you all! have a wonderful week, work hard, and love a lot. :)

Elder Stuart

Baptisms and Godoy!

Hey family and friends!

This week was such a good week! We had the baptisms of two of the kids that I was teaching over in Villa Regina this week!! It was such a cool experience, i felt the spirit so strongly and I was so proud of the decision that Aron and Hugo made to be baptized and come closer to their savior Jesus Christ. It was so amazing and I am so glad that I was able to be there to watch their change and them making that special covenant with our Heavenly Father.

My new area is Godoy, it is a small town just outside of Villa Regina. We live on the edge of Villa Regina, and take a bus out to Godoy, and also have a little town that we work at as well, that is about a 20 minute walk away. I love my area! It is such a good area and the people are all so loving and friendly! The members are the best, and we have some really good investigators that we are working with. They just need to come to church and they will be able to be baptized! We have a lot of dates set up for December, but they have to come to church if they want to fulfill those dates!

My new comp Elder Rose is the best! We get along really well and he is teaching me a lot and helping me become the missionary that the Lord needs me to be. He is really helping me with my spanish. It is coming slowly, but it is coming. And it is nice being able to ask him questions about the language. He is doing a great job in helping me be the best that i can be.

This week, our ¨thanksgiving¨ Dinner, was mashed potatoes and cut up hotdogs.... hahaha very American! I loved it! It was with an amazing member family, the Blanco Family. We didn´t even remember it was thanksgiving until that night... but it was fun!

Something I have been studying a lot is Charity and how important it really is in our lives. I love 1 Corinthians 13. That chapter is amazing. Without charity we are nothing. We should all strive to have the same love that our Lord has, we never will but he will bless us for trying.

All is great and thank you for all your love and support! I love you all so much and I am so greatful for your examples. Have a great week!!
