This week was super good :) we had a great week leading up to Christmas and it was a great time to give our testimonies about the Savior. We had a great conference with Presidente where he talked about how we need to change the paradigms(yes this is an english word :)) of the work and believe that we can achieve more and we will do it! It is so true on how we judge so quickly at first and that becomes stuck in our head and we dont see things or others how God intends for them to be seen. But if we can see with the Eye of Faith like it talks about in Ether 12:19 :) May we see things how God intends for them to be seen!
Hope you all enjoyed your Christmas and remembered the true meaning of this special day! Hope you all enjoyed your time with your families! Thanks for all your support for me. I love you all! :)
This week was super great!!! With the Navidad coming up we are super excited here in the mission! Things are going super well! We had a few actividies this week in the community with Christmas and they went super well! Also we had an acctivity in our ward, and we had 9 investigators show up!!! It was such a great Christmas miracle! We are still working hard and praying for a christmas baptism and that here in the misison we can have a white christmas full of people making convenants with the Lord!
Challenge of the week. read luke 2 and think about how the birth of our Savior has blessed your life and share it with someone!!! Love you all, and may you all have a wonderful week full of the spirit of Christ! Remember that He is the true gift and the reason for Christmas :):)
Well that is all for this week, because we will be talking next week! I Love you all!
This week was another super good week! We are getting closer and closer with that lady named Vicky!!! Yesterday we went to their house and we were talking with her sons maxi and lucas when she walked in and told us she didnt feel very well so we offered to give her a blessing. It was one of the most spiritual blessings i have ever been a part of. I know that her heart is opening up a little bit at a time! After the blessing we just looked at her and said, bueno when you want to get baptized just let us know and we will set it all up! haha we were super direct with her because she is already prepared and she has been for a long time. And whenever we talked about baptism before she always just said that she was never getting baptized, but this time she said that she would let us know!! Im super stoked for her!
Its been a super busy but great week!! I love this work! Have a great week everyone! :)
This week went super well! we are super excited with this focus that we have here in the mission with the Christmas season of Light the World! This week we had a lot of time to be in our own area and get to work. We found many people that we were able to teach. we were also able to do a lot of service, big or small, for the people in our area and we feel super good about what is happening right now! We had a super cool experience with that same family that brought their grandkid and friends to church, we were able to go visit them and we met a lady named Vicky who is the daughter of the Grandma. She has heard the missionaries for a long time, and we left her when i got here. But she came in and sat down and started asking a lot of questions, especially about her dad who had passed away. We were able to testify to her about the plan of salvation and how she could be with him forever and return to him if she follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is amazing to see how the plan that God has given to us can bring light to whatever situation we are going through. We are still working with her, but she said that she will start listening again. The Lord is blessing us every day :) I love this work.
This week was super cool!!! We have a new plan for this Christmas season, we took the calendar that the church made about the 25 days of service and changed it up to be more for us as missionaries! so we are super excited for that and we know great things are coming to our mission in this next month! We had a great lidership counsil and all the liders are excited to get their zones going in this new plan! So we are excited to see what happens!
Thanksgiving was this past week! Happy thanksgiving!
It was so cool because last week a member came to church and she brought her grandson and his friend (who arent members) and we were able to put a cita with them and go and teach them! Then we went to go talk with the mom of the friend to make sure it was ok that we were teaching her son and she was super interested so we were able to teach her as well, and now the three are progressing really well!! Its amazing how the act of one member can help missionaries so much! SO go help the missionaries this week!!
This week was super crazy! We had to say goodbye to the ones going home, so that always sucks. Had to say bye to Elder Clemens, gonna miss that guy! But we are going good still, we got some great new missionaries and we are super excited to see what these next few months will bring us! Im super excited to work with Elder LeBaron, and see what we can do! This week we have been learning a lot about personal revelation and how important it is in our lives to help us be able to keep going forward in the path of the Lord. Just like Nephi in 1 nephi 10 were he talks about how he had desires to learn about the things of his father, we must have those same desires and then work with diligence to find the answers, and that is when we will recieve. One of the promises that is repeated the most in the scriptures is just that, Knock and it shall be opened unto you.
Love you all! I hope we all can continue learning and progresssing every day! Have a great week!
Well today is my pday because this next week is transfers again! I cant believe i have already been here two transfers. Time goes by so fast! My next comp will be Elder LeBaron from Arizona!!! Im so stoked! Its going to be a lot of fun, and we are going to try and push the mission even more.
This week was just super crazy with transfers, and trying to get everything figured out and ready for that. It was fun becasue we have been going with President to talk with the missionaries as he does the interviews. We are helping them with our purpose of talking with everyone, especially in this Christmas season. And it has been really cool to see all the missionaries and be able to give advise and help them with their contacts, and also to learn something new from each and everyone of them to be able to apply in my own area!
Well its been a crazy week! Hope all is well back home! Love you all! :)
This week was great!!!! This week we got to go with President while he went to do interviews and we did training with the missionaries that were waiting for their interviews. We went up to the north this time to Rincón, Cultural Co, and CHOS MALAL!!! First off it was so much fun to be able to help the missionaries a little bit. We talked a lot about the importance of talking with everyone, and how God was always preparing people for us to talk with but it takes our effort first to be able to find those miracles that he has prepared for us. We talked about how we cant be afraid to talk about the gospel, because we have the authority to do so, and this is their salvation we are talking about! It went really well.
Then it was also amazing to be back in Chos malal and see all the people that i love. It was amazing to see that even though six months have passed, the people there still are going strong and progressing in the gospel every day. It was great to be able to be there again and go to the homes of people that i met and have the opportunity to be able to testify of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ to them one more time. I love being a missionary, especially at this time, because i have that opportunity to be able to go to so many different places and testify of our savior. It is the most gratifying feeling.
On the funny(kinda sad actually) note, we saw a dead armadillo in the route when we were on our way home, so that was pretty cool to see!
Love you all! Have an amazing week :)
Oh and i wont be on next Monday, but on Saturday of this week for transfers. and could you advise everyone that they cant send me packages unless it is through Pablo*, because i had two that got here and they had to be sent back because i cant take them out. Thanks :)
(Sorry to whomever sent Ryan a package. He doesn't even know who they were from!)
This week was a super great week!!!!! haha last pday when i said it was raining pretty bad. Well it rained really bad. Almost all of Neuquén got flooded and all the streets basically were rivers. Not even kidding. In the streets it was up to our knees and our waist in some parts. we had to go help an hermana get all of her stuff out of her house and it was super crazy. Then we just had to go to the pension because it was too dangerous to be outside. I have never seen so much water in my life!
Also more importantly, Joaquin and his mom Natalia got baptized! Joaquin is 12 years old and he started to come to church and also play soocer with us on p-days, i got to know him pretty well. The hermanas started to teach him and the week before his baptism his mom came to church with him to see what he was getting himself into. She loved it and said she wanted to be baptized as well! I had the blessing of being able to baptize both of them! So we were able to see how the Lord really does work miracles in the lives of people if we just keep trying. It was amazing to see this family grow and get to the waters of baptism and recieve the eternal blessings that God has prepared for us!
Things are going great here! I love the work more than ever and we are going to keep going forward with faith! Sorry its short this week, i hope you all have a great week!
This week was super good! we had the leadership council this week and it was amazing! We talked a lot about the faith. The thing that stuck out most to me this week about the faith is in Moroni 7:33 "And Christ hath said: If ye will have faith in me ye shall have power to do whatsoever thing is expedient in me."
The part that i like the most is when the Lord says that we shall have the power TO DO! Faith is directly connected with our acciones. That is something that i have learned so much in the mission, that faith does not come from one event but from continuously living the gospel with obedience every day. Because as we do that, we grow in our knowledge and trust in the Savior, which leads us to have faith that He will help us in all things.
This week we were able to put that into practice. There was an investigator that the Elderes had left a few months ago, that was progressing really well, but then they couldnt find him for the longest time so they dropped him. We felt like we needed to go by there this week so we did. And he was so happy to see us! He has been wanting to start reading and praying again, but just didnt know how to start. So We were able to help him with that, and now he is preparing to be baptized! We were able to use our faith and trust in those promptings of the spirit, and God lead us to where we needed to be!
On the funny side, it was raining a lot this week. I mean a lot. Hahaha i have never ran so much in the rain in my whole life! We had to run home one night or we were going to be late, and it was just funny to think that we are two teenagers running through the rain in suits. hahaha it was great :)
1 - Well if anyone knows me, sometimes I just random bloody noses when the seasons change... so yeah that happened! luckily my comp has allergies and had tissues! good way to start talking with people! ;)
2 - MTC group back together again! Elder Lloyd and Elder Bliss!
3 - freaking huge Rubix cube that Elder Lloyd taught me to solve last pday. dope
