Testimony

Buen Día!

Well, i cant believe that my service as a full time missionary is coming to a close here in Argentina. I will never be able to thank my God enough for this opportunity that i have had to serve Him and His children here in Neuquen. I am so greatful for the opportunity i have had to carry the name of His Son, Jesus Christ with me for these past two years. It has changed my life and marked it for ever. I know that this is His church and that He leads and guides it today. I know that He is the litteral Son of God and that He lives and loves each and everyone of us. He knows us personally. and i am so greatful for the opportunity to share that knowledge that i have gained for these past two years. Thank you to everyone for your support and all that you have done for me. I love you all so much! and hope to see you all soon!

Light the World

Buen día familia!

This week went super well! we are super excited with this focus that we have here in the mission with the Christmas season of Light the World! This week we had a lot of time to be in our own area and get to work. We found many people that we were able to teach. we were also able to do a lot of service, big or small, for the people in our area and we feel super good about what is happening right now! We had a super cool experience with that same family that brought their grandkid and friends to church, we were able to go visit them and we met a lady named Vicky who is the daughter of the Grandma. She has heard the missionaries for a long time, and we left her when i got here. But she came in and sat down and started asking a lot of questions, especially about her dad who had passed away. We were able to testify to her about the plan of salvation and how she could be with him forever and return to him if she follows the teachings of Jesus Christ. It is amazing to see how the plan that God has given to us can bring light to whatever situation we are going through. We are still working with her, but she said that she will start listening again. The Lord is blessing us every day :) I love this work.

love you all and hope you have a great week!

Buen Dia Familia!

Buen dia familia!

this week was really great! We were able to send home some great missionaries and get some new ones that are super ready to work! We are excited for this new transfer! This week was really full of miracles. Me and my comp were walking the other day when we passed two ladies outside doing some yardwork, we had passed them like three times in these weeks and they are always working on something and we always ask if we can help but they said no. But this week we werent going to let the opportunity go bye. So we just walked over and basically just grabbed a shovel and asked if we could help! They finally let us help them and we began to dig a hole so that we could put a fence up. It was a lot of fun and we got a few days of work done for them in an hour. Then when we finished we had a lesson with them and it went really well and was super spiritual. It was amazing to see how the Lord puts people in our path if we are just willing to take the initiative and go after it!

Love you all! Thanks for all the support in this time of my life. Have a wonderful week!

Service

This week was great and full of service! This week we have been able to do a lot of service but the one that was really special was we went to a members house that lives out in the middle of nowhere, and they havent had fire wood to heat their house or cook for awhile now. We just now found out so The guys from the ward went out their with us and we were able to spend a couple of hours in a lot cutting down trees and making fire wood for them :) It was amazing to see how humble these people really are and the joy on their face when they recived just wood, rice, noodles, and flour. Just by simple things this family was so greatful and joyful, that it touched every one of our hearts. Sometimes we get so caught up in what we dont have when we really have everything and we forget that there are people out there with much greater needs. Service is the way to show are charity, and as we do it we can show are love to others, and more importantly to our Heavenly Father. Mosiah 2:17 :)

I love you all and hope that we can all look for a way to serve others this week :) and i promise you that you will have a better week!

Trio in Cipo

This week was great! Working in a trio is actually really fun! You always have something to talk about and more ideas! This week was really good because we had new missionaries here in Cipo and that means, new energy and it was amazing to see what the zone was able to do this week! Also we have two new missionaries and so we had their animo as well! It is amazing to see that it is all in our heads, if we are excited and believe that we can do it. we will do it. If we are down and dont put our trust in God and in our abilities we wont get anywhere. The mind is really powerful and as we put our focus centered in Christ we will be able to accomplish great things :)

Also something that i have really been learning in my time here in Cipo is the importance of Love and Charity. As we serve others and look for the best in them and for them, we will be able to help more people to come unto Christ. If we are simply trying to push and force people to do something it will never work. Just like Christ taught us, ¨come unto me.¨He invites us with open loving arms to come unto him and be perfected and as we try and do that with our brothers and sisters they will be more apt to come unto Christ and recieve the grace that comes from his atonement :)

I love you all! have a wonderful week, work hard, and love a lot. :)

Elder Stuart

Service

Hola! This week i have learned a lot of things! First. If you are going to give lunch to the missionaries for them to cook... give them something easy.... not just a full raw chicken. hahaha this week that happened to us! A family couldnt have lunch with us so the night before they just gave us this chicken to cook. We dont have an oven so we couldnt cook it like that... so Elder Elwood just looked at me and said ´well i guess we arent eating tomorrow!!¨hahaha it was so funny, but we ended up making something and it was actually delecious... kinda.. haha! But that was a skill that we learned this week! THis week i have also learned a lot about service. We have been in kind of a slow patch here in Godoy trying to find new people to teach and help them along. We decided to change up our methods, because if something isnt working you need to change it until it does. So we decided to look for more ways to do service this week. And it worked so well!! Matias is now progressing so much better because we went and helped him with some things he was building and cleaning up in his yard and we just created a bond and he opened up even more with us. We were just trying to do service where ever we could and we found a lot of people through that! When they see that we are normal people and that we are here to help and not just talk about Christ, they are more willing to open up and let us talk about Christ becuase they feel more comfortable. Makes me think of what we learn in Mosiah 2 how when we are in the service of our fellow beigns we are only in the service of our God. It is so true!! Go out and do some service this week! It is great!
Also this week i feel like all the other churches had a ¨bash the Mormons about Joseph Smith´week. Because we had more people than ever talking bad about him and yelling at us and stuff like that. I just want to testify to you all that I KNOW that he was and is a Prophet of God. Just like it says in Doctirne and Convenants. He did more for mankind than any other person save Jesus Christ himself. I am so greatful for Joseph Smith and all that he did for us and all we have today becuase he was brave and humble enough to fall on his knees and ask God. Now we have the book of Mormon and i can learn more about my Savior and how i can be more like Him. I am so greatful for that. I will defend him, and my Savior forever. (rant of the week over. haha)
I love this gospel. I love my Savior. I know this is the truth and it can change lifes. Have a great week everyone. I love you all!!!!

Baptisms!

Hola familia y amigos!
This week was a really great week! We had a training with the assistants at the biggining of this week and we talked a lot about living baptism. Because if we go into lessons and the investigators don´t know that we are there to help bring them closer to Christ, but to just to chat, then they aren´t going to progress. But if they know why we are there, then they will start to progress more. We have really seen this in this week!! We have three people set up to be baptized this week and we have two others that can be prepared if they work really hard! It is so cool to see the gospel change their life and bring them so much joy. I love helping people come closer to Christ :) Brian and Guadalupe, the two miracle investigators we have, are such Capos!!! They are so cool and progressing so well, they tell us how much more joy and happiness they have in their life since they have been meeting with us. They are going to get baptized this saturday! I am so excited for them :)

This week we had a fun experience! We were on the way back from a lesson and on to another investigator, Matias, and on the way to his house we found him on the side of the road and his car broke down. We ended up pushing his car for half a mile up a dirt road to his house! Hahahah it was so tiring but it was so much fun and a great way to do service!! I loved it! He is progressing pretty well, but he is 18 and doesn´t like some of the things about the gospel because he feels restricted... but we are working with him. But i think i got my exercise in for about the next month!!
This week i really have been studying 3 Nephi 18:19-21 about prayer and how important it is to pray ALWAYS and with our families, and when we do this we will receive so many blessings. I really have such a strong testimony that prayer is the best thing we can do to come closer to our heavenly Father because we are communicating with Him. And when we pray in our families so many miracles come from that. We have seen some many non active member families start to come back just by sharing this with them. I love it.
This was a great week. Thanks for all your love and support! I love you all and I hope you all have a great week!!

Food Trucks!!

Hola familia!!

It was another great week here in Katy!! We had a great opportunity this week to do some service at our favorite food truck! Oh and by the way we eat at these ghetto Mexican food trucks all the time and they are so good! They are just in random parking lots! This one is called "La Cabana" and it is so good! They are members, and so we go and do service for them and we get to eat there for free!! And the food is so good! This week we got a call from two other Elder's in our zone to come help them with service at the food truck. So we went over there and we had to paint the top of the truck with a sealant because it was leaking. So just picture four missionaries on top of this food truck (while it is in business) painting the top! It was really fun, and way funny! hahah so that was awesome!

Our two investigators, Esteban and Andres, both have gone missing! Esteban was sick and just texted us back so hopefully we can meet up with him this week. However Andres hasn't replied or answered to anything from anybody for the past week. Nobody knows where he is. So that kinda sucks, and we hope he is ok! We are hoping to hear back from him and find him soon.

We found a little family of four last week that we are going to meet again with this week and start teaching, so hopefully that goes well! Things are great here in Katy and we are doing our best to bring people to the Gospel.

I hope you all know how much you mean to me and how much all your support means. Keep up the good work at home, and know that I love you all. Have a great week Everyone!!

Love,

Elder Stuart
